I was guided by the great Goddess Isis to run the first of these events back in May of 2023 and they have been taking place ever since, on the last Wednesday of the month.

Her Biz is designed specifically to encourage more women to start a business, why not, turn your idea/hobby into a reality with the chance to WIN £500!
Workshop dates/times:
The programme consists of 4 x 2.5 hour sessions, each from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
Friday 4th October - Exploring your idea and shape your business plan
Friday 11th October - Understanding financials and funding options
Friday 18th October - Marketing, social media and online presence
Friday 25th October - Practicalities of getting started

Her Biz: What’s it about?
To increase female entrepreneurship locally, we are offering women living in East Sussex and Kent a fantastic opportunity to come together to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to launch a successful business.
This inspiring programme has been specifically created to help encourage women to set up a new business. From refining your business idea to marketing and managing your finances, we can help you to prepare to successfully start your business.
That's why we also include an optional competition to give you the chance to win £500 towards your start-up costs. Following the course, you will have 6 weeks to submit your completed business plan to enter, and it's open to all those selected to participate on the course.
So far, we have held over 30 successful rounds of the Her Biz programme across East Sussex and Kent over the past 5 years, each one over-subscribed, so we urge you to apply now to avoid disappointment!

		<p></p><p>We're the most educated, powerful generation of women in history, we're graduating in higher numbers from university than men, reaching the senior ranks in business and politics and we're the primary breadwinners in many households. Yet eight out of ten women experience stress on how to get everything done, reach our potential and establish a work/life balance.</p>
<p>The program will cover areas of key relevance to women leaders and those who aspire to leadership positions. As women make their way toward top positions and centre-stage roles in both public and private sector organisations, companies are under increasing pressure to bolster their boards with independent 'heavyweights' and these are increasingly women.</p>
<p>Women bring a creative spark, intelligence, personality, professional ability and motivation to senior roles, but there are still constraints on career progression, both organisational and personal.</p>
<p>This fast-paced and highly interactive programme will consider some of these constraints and will discuss ways to address them.  It will be led by an international trainer and communications expert, a leading advocate for women's workplace issues.  A powerful and dynamic seminar, it will focus on communications, career planning and management and leadership development for mid-to senior-level women managers.  It will also cover some of the latest research findings from Europe and the USA regarding women in the economy and the contribution they make.</p>
