After leaving art college with a diploma in Art and Design, I left the world of art and spent the next 20 years working in marketing and account management, and bringing up my son. I didn't have much time to dedicate to my love of art, but now my son is much older, so I have more time on my hands to create the art that I love. I started out painting flowers and landscapes, which I shipped all over the UK and USA and a few even went to Australia! My love of animals has always been there, I've had horses and so many dogs and cats from being really young, so it was only natural that animals feature regularly in my art. My artwork has more recently turned towards painting dancers, landscapes, and the beach too. I love to paint in watercolour, in acrylics or in oils, and regularly create different collections in these different mediums. I set up Healds Green Gallery, named after the converted church that we currently live in, and run workshops from the gallery in Chadderton and also from locations in Cheshire too. We have classes starting in January in Tatton Park in Knutsford which is such a beautiful place to visit! We run watercolour and acrylic classes and sometimes branch out by getting other expert tutors in to provide glass craft and pottery workshops too. All of our classes are perfect for beginners or people who have always wanted to try painting but don't have the equipment, or never get round to it at home. Having had young children, it sometimes feels quite self-indulgent to spend time doing something that is just for you, but you deserve that time. I love every minute I spend drawing and painting, its time spent solely concentrating on just that, and not worrying about other things. My aim is to share my love of art to everyone and to make you all feel good enough to come along and try it out. You don't have to be the next Rembrandt, just come along and enjoy the time. I hope I can tempt you to want to try it out yourself and join us on one of our workshops!

The importance of camera and lens calibration has increased in correlation to the increase in pixel count of camera sensors as well as the camera’s technical sophistication. Your photographic equipment is not only expensive and highly sophisticated. It’s performance is extremely delicate. Such is the sophistication of your DSLR cameras that even brand new lenses straight out of the box, let alone lenses that have had light knocks and bumps, can need calibration with your DSLR camera body. WHY DO YOU NEED LENS CALIBRATION? There are many reasons your photos aren’t sharp….. It could be because you are using a poor quality UV filter or protection filter. Blog – Focussing with Filters It could be you have the wrong focus settings on your camera for the genre of photography you are doing. It could be warping of the lens mount. This can occur when using very large and heavy zoom lenses without handling and supporting the camera and lens properly. A knock or a bump on the lens may have put a glass element out of alignment. This is surprisingly easy to do depending on the build quality of the lens. An astigmatism test ( commonly known as a ‘stig test’) can quickly confirm this. We often use it for customers who have recently bought a used lens and want to make sure of its quality. However, one of the most common reasons your pictures aren’t pin sharp is because your lens needs calibrating. Energy Kidz Ofsted Registered Holiday Clubs run every school holiday for primary school aged children.Breakfast Club In preparation for a busy school day, the Breakfast Club focuses on quieter activities, such as Lego, arts and crafts, puzzles, toys and board games. Children get dropped off by parents any time from the start of the session. At the end of the session Key Stage 2 children are released to make their own way to their classes, while Key Stage 1 children are escorted to their class teacher or a designated drop off point. After School Club In our After School Clubs, we pride ourselves in delivering a fun, happy and safe place for children to freely play with their friends, take part in activities, art and craft, sport, chill out or enjoy the variety of toys and games available. The club is set up to provide a fun and stimulating environment when the child arrives. There are activities such as Lego, puzzles, toys and board games so children can start playing straight away.
