This qualification consists of 5 mandatory units and 6 pathways to cover occupational roles in External Wall Insulation, Cavity Wall Insulation, Loft insulation, Draught Proofing, Internal insulation and insulation to Framed Sections of Buildings. Candidates must complete all 5 mandatory units which have a total credit value of 23 credits and the required credits from the selected pathway. Dependent on the pathway selected the qualification has a total credit value ranging from 59 credits to 91 credits</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">The units are made up of the things those working in these job roles need to know to be able to do to carry out the work safely and correctly. Candidates must also prove knowledge and competence to create a clear cavity to be able to facilitate External Rendering and External Wall Insulation complying with current Building Regulations.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">All work must be completed following safe working practices, relevant legislation, and comply with contract information and the allocated timescales.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">The surveyor/inspection pathway requires candidates to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to interpret information to be able to carry out a Cavity Clearance survey in accordance with the job specifications, following safe working practices and within the allocated time. The Surveyor must also understand how to communicate with others to ensure work is carried out effectively. This pathway includes identifying and selecting the correct quality of equipment, additionally candidates must understand how to calculate quantity, area and wastage.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">To achieve this pathway unit the survey work must be carried out in ways that will minimise the risk of damage to the work and surrounding area and using and maintaining equipment effectively. This qualification is made up of 3 mandatory units and 2 pathways.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Candidates must complete the mandatory units and one or both of the pathways. Candidates must also prove knowledge and competence to create a clear cavity to be able to facilitate External Rendering and External Wall Insulation complying with current Building Regulations.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">All work must be completed following safe working practices, relevant legislation, and comply with contract information and the allocated timescales.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">The surveyor/inspection pathway requires candidates to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to interpret information to be able to carry out a Cavity Clearance survey in accordance with the job specifications, following safe working practices and within the allocated time. The Surveyor must also understand how to communicate with others to ensure work is carried out effectively. This pathway includes identifying and selecting the correct quality of equipment, additionally candidates must understand how to calculate quantity, area and wastage.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">To achieve this pathway unit the survey work must be carried out in ways that will minimise the risk of damage to the work and surrounding area and using and maintaining equipment effectively. This qualification is made up of 3 mandatory units and 2 pathways.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Candidates must complete the mandatory units and one or both of the pathways. Candidates must also prove knowledge and competence to create a clear cavity to be able to facilitate External Rendering and External Wall Insulation complying with current Building Regulations.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">All work must be completed following safe working practices, relevant legislation, and comply with contract information and the allocated timescales.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">The surveyor/inspection pathway requires candidates to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to interpret information to be able to carry out a Cavity Clearance survey in accordance with the job specifications, following safe working practices and within the allocated time. The Surveyor must also understand how to communicate with others to ensure work is carried out effectively. This pathway includes identifying and selecting the correct quality of equipment, additionally candidates must understand how to calculate quantity, area and wastage.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">To achieve this pathway unit the survey work must be carried out in ways that will minimise the risk of damage to the work and surrounding area and using and maintaining equipment effectively. This qualification is made up of 3 mandatory units and 2 pathways.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Candidates must complete the mandatory units and one or both of the pathways. <p>Nowadays not only do we rely on our commercial and sales staff to hit that bottom line but we expect our engineers and project teams to play their part too - not only through their engineering and management skills but by behaving in a commercially minded way in their dealings with their counterparts in customer or supplier organisations. This means understanding, amongst other things, the issues surrounding the commencement of work ahead of contract, having a clear contract baseline, recognising the broader implications of contract change, the need for timeliness and the consequences of failing to meet the contracted timetable.</p><p>This practical one-day programme has been designed specifically to give engineers, project staff and others just that understanding. The course is designed principally to provide engineers and project staff with an appreciation of contractual obligations, liabilities, rights and remedies so that they understand the implications of their actions. It is also suitable for business development staff who are negotiating contracts on behalf of the business.</p><p>The main focus of the day is on creating an awareness of when a situation may have commercial implications that would harm an organisation's business interests if not recognised and handled appropriately and how taking a positive but more commercial approach to those situations can lead to a more positive outcome for the business. As well as providing an understanding of the commercial imperatives the day also focuses on specific areas affecting engineers and project staff, such as the recognition and management of change, the risks when working outside the contract and managing delays in contracts. Multiple fuels to compare against, you can adjust the price per unit and CO2 factor (kg/kWh). Present these running costs to your clients.

Photos and notes which you or your surveyors have taken will be shown when you open the report from your dashboard. You may also upload and download photos from your PC / laptop too.

IMPORTANT: Firstly, once you are signed up, send us your requests on what you would like to see within the demonstration and learn on the course. We will then cater for your needs and answer them during the session.

This is designed to be an introduction into how to start a room by room survey using the Heat Engineer app, then sending this survey to the online dashboard. We will then go through the different steps to complete this heat loss report. Optional pages will also be worked through and shown. 

Examples of how to select the flow temperature and the heat source (heat pumps and boilers) will be presented once the heat loss result is completed.
