My name is Tamar and I have been teaching art and design for 15 years! I founded The City Workshop Edinburgh as I want to bring the joy of art and craft making to as many people as I can. I never tire of seeing the happiness that creating art brings and I believe that art is for everyone. So whether you think you're 'not any good at art' or you have always loved making, I hope you'll come and enjoy creating in my little workshop in Edinburgh. I believe that everyone can create art and my classes give you the confidence to make your own individual art and craft pieces. There are so many reasons to learn an artistic skill; whether you want to study traditional techniques or switch off from the pressures of life, we offer the perfect environment to try something new. There is nothing better than creating your own piece of art or craft, whether for your own home or a gift for a loved one, you can proudly say 'I made that”!

In the right space and with a little nudge we believe that everyone has the ability to make marks and express themselves. From sketching to Chinese calligraphy we’ll do our best to bring out the creative genius within.

Welcome! Join us for our weekly life drawing club in Glasgow or Edinburgh. All welcome, beginners and professionals alike. You can drop-in to our life drawing clubs any time, there is no need to book. You can pay by card on the door. You can also book in advance via Eventbrite, if you prefer, which guarantees you a queue skip on a busy evening.

Art Amatoria holds a wide selection of oils, watercolours, drawings, etchings and prints at affordable prices from a range of talented young artists. The focus is on fresh and exciting contemporary paintings and our artists are a mixture of established names and ones to watch. Edinburgh-based Linda Park has a collection of new paintings inspired by her travels around Scotland and France. We also have new work from Claire Beattie, Patricia Sadler and Christopher Palmer. Art Amatoria offers painting and drawing weekends at Duns Castle in the Scottish Borders.

Graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Granada. I began my career in 1999 as a Technical Drawing teacher in ARTEGRANADA School and as an Art Restorer to Granada Curia. I have been teaching Art from 2001 to Secondary students in several private and concertada schools (schools sponsored by a public voucher system). I am currently working painting in my studio and teaching lessons in drawing and painting to children and adults.
