This course is for holders of a current First Aid at Work qualification which is due to expire.

The First Aid at Work qualification is the most comprehensive of all our first aid qualifications, and covers a wide range of skills which can be used within a workplace first aid situation, including: assessing the scene, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis, plus much more.

The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those wishing to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Throughout this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including administering CPR, using a defibrillator, dealing with wounds and bleeding, minor injuries and more.

This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid to children (including babies) when dealing with: * An emergency situation. * Chronic or sudden paediatric illness. * Paediatric injury. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pre-requisites Students must be at least 16 years old on the first day of training. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and also includes 2 theory/multiple choice question papers.
