Core Judo Academy in Thorpe Green is an excellent judo club for all ages. The newly built dojo will also have a gym and a cafe although it is currently under development (Aug 2021). Limited parking available right outside with additional public parking available just across from Rose and crown, located just a short walk through the park

I had the privilege of learning Judo from Jon Purssey every week for a couple of years. His lessons were very inspiring and highly motivating. He brings a modern approach with his coaching methods and describes the 'feel' of a technique to help you understand what needs to be achieved - he's also a former Commonwealth champion. Core judo is a great club and such a wonderful community to be part of. The coaches are committed and know exactly what they are doing and they will go the extra mile to fulfill the full potential that your child might need in a fun way. My three boys love judo so much, and they do Judo between twice to three times a week, we feel so blessed to have Johnathan Purssey and the other coaches and would definitely recommend the club. Overall 10/10.

An outstanding coaching school which finally has its future stronghold. I have seen Core Judo grow & succeed year on year which is reflected in its Judoka's results and achievements (these speak for themselves!). Every great Judo school needs two things: an unparalleled Head Coach and home of its own. Core has always had the coach and now they have their home. Omedetō !!
