Confident Women Of Colour

I come from Guadeloupe, in the French West Indies, where men are patriarchs of the family and women are housewives. From that environment that I learned the limiting beliefs such as “I am not good enough”, “ I cannot do that”. “Women like me cannot do that” and so on. But inside, I felt that I did not want to be like other women in Guadeloupe who could not speak for themselves, did not go to work or if they did, were in very low paid work.
