Cobra Hair Academy

Prepare for an exciting career as a licensed barber. The program is 1000 clock hours in length, which can be completed in as little as eight months of full-time attendance. At the beginning, approximately 450 hours of the program is devoted to technical instruction, which consists of various learning activities in a classroom and barbershop. Students learn the fundamentals of Haircutting, Hair Color Theory, Hairstyling, Shaving, Gentlemen’s Facials, and Infection Control. Once the basics of the novice curriculum are complete, students advance to core training and can start working with clients. The balance of the program time is devoted to advanced practical operations, in which students develop and practice barber skills under the supervision of licensed instructors. After completing the barbering program at Coba Academy, you’ll be qualified to apply for the California State Board licensing examination and become a licensed professional.
