Chigwell Golf Club

The Hertfordshire Golf ladies Have recently had our past Captain’s awayday at Chigwell Golf club. We all had a fabulous day which was organised by the Chigwell staff who made us feel very welcome. The course was in excellent condition and the supper afterwards was delicious.

Course is in great condition. Lush and Green despite recent dry weather. Excellent clubhouse and splendid food

Fantastic course, also the greenest in essex during this heatwave!

6309 yds of the White tees. Course in excellent condition, tees, fairways and greens, some work being carried out on moving bunkers and many areas of GUR due to new grass having being laid roped off slightly lowering the enjoyment of the course. Shortage of car parking is a problem when busy but staff move the cars to free up spaces for us which was most welcome. £30 green fee with a member is acceptable but £50 without a little expensive.

Nice club in very posh surroundings especially the great number of homes that back onto the course which means many a stray shot can be found in someone's garden! The course is will kept and has a fair variety of holes many of which require good tee shots to prevent being blocked out. Recommended. Only issue was the temporary green for which no yardage was given.
