Capernwray Diving Centre

One of the best inland diving spots in the UK. Brilliant place for both training and casual diving. Recently a new boat was added to the quarry, and during winter the visibility is brilliant.

Great little site. Enough to keep every diver happy. Only gave 4 stars and not 5, was because it's not really very deep and the changing rooms are far too small. I ended up changing in the rain because it wasn't worth the wait.

Fantastic venue for open water swimming, with two shallow beach entries, and a set course of 500m around the large orange buoys. Big gravel car park, shop, cafe and changing/toilets on site. Plus, an open water swim coach for individual/group lessons. Water quality A-MAZ-ING and a really friendly swimming community using the lake in harmony with the divers.

The water is crystal clear and feels like silk on your skin. The staff are helpful and friendly. The cheesy chips are delicious and the cakes devine. I wish I lived nearer. My favourite swim spot in Lancashire ♥️

Great place to go for a swim, loads of car park spaces, the cafe is great. What's not to love? Clear waters as well
