Broadwater Sailing Club

Great sailing club, with a good sized lake. Good for pottering around or full blown racing.

This is a fantastic sailing club. You do not need any experience (or a boat) to join. Membership is incredibly good value for money (£150 for whole family and other cheaper options if there are some non-sailors in your) with junior (5 - 16 yrs old) sailing every Saturday from 13.30 - 16.30 coached from motor boats by experts. There is a fun week starting for when all the school break up next week. I joined (with my two daughters) two years ago and cannot recommend this club enough.

Big, active & friendly sailing club with regular cruising and racing all year round on a large lake in a wonderful setting. Lots of classes sail here : Aero, Solo, Laser, Graduate, Miracles, Enterprises and more. Junior sailing programme runs late spring - late summer. Good facilities - clubhouse, launching, berthing, parking etc.

Sailed here since I was a kid. Great lake with opportunities for all ages and abilities, with a nice addition of a few islands to make things a bit more challenging!
