Brighton Peace And Environment Centre

We work in Brighton & Hove, Sussex and the South East to promote peace, equality and the environment. Through our activities we educate and empower local communities to take action for positive change. Brighton & Hove Council has set the target for becoming carbon neutral by 2030, and we want the whole city to get involved. Across Brighton and Hove there are thousands of valuable green spaces, from the South Downs to our own gardens and the road verges we travel past every day. All of these areas could be absorbing more CO2. Helping the city to reach its target, our city’s ‘Carbon Champions’ have been engaging with organisations and individuals across our community to get there as soon as possible.
