Bournemouth Aikido Club

The Japanese martial art of Aikido was founded by Morihei Ueshiba in 1942. Since then, many different styles of Aikido have evolved. At Bournemouth Aikido Club, we practice in the unique style developed by Sensei David Currie, Chief Instructor of the British Ki Aikido Association. It’s a “Way” that emphasises the power of gentleness and precision. Bournemouth Aikido Club formed in 1998 and is managed on a not for profit basis by unpaid volunteers. We adhere to traditional ‘dojo’ etiquette, as it helps to ensure an ideal learning environment.
