A brilliant place for a musical retreat. Beautiful house and garden, lovely food, friendly staff, fantastic music facilities (large hall, smaller rooms and lots of practice rooms with a variety of keyboards, music library) encouraging tuition, focus on enjoyment of music in any style. In the lovely town of Hitchin which also has a lovely swimming pool, including an outdoor pool. One Tuesdays and Saturdays there is a lovely market.

A wonderful destination for taking part in music making. There's a wide range of courses throughout the year. All the staff are brilliant and the catering is delicious. The grounds are beautiful too.

Parking was relatively easy. The arrangements to comply with Covid19 rules were perfect. Only 20 people in the hall that normally accommodates about 150. The concert by a violinist and pianist was excellent. Congratulations to all those involved in the event we attended.

This is a highlight of living in Hitchin. Set in its own grounds, here is a fantastic music school and concert venue. If that wasn't enough they also do a decent afternoon tea and offer overnight accommodation. Fabulous!

Lovely venue. Room was small and not soundproofed so I heard all my neighbour's movements. Food excellent. Highly recommended
