Bare Glazed Studio

I had my 2nd visit to Bare Glazed Studio this week and I shall admit that I had a great time! I mean check my smile out :D I had a go at making a slug family out of clay which will be finished soon and even had a go on the pottery wheel which is tricky, but lots of fun. Carly was amazing, talked me through the whole process, made me feel at home and I left feeling very confident about trying new things, and I do enjoy being creative too. I need to do more. Carly is a great teacher and the studio is a welcoming and creative space. I joined a 6 week course and learnt about different techniques and glazes. It was great to have something to go to weekly and see the process of making something from start to finish! I have been making pottery at home now and use her kiln hiring service which is very handy and it’s nice knowing everything is in safe hands. Everything is fired promptly and without hassle and I would 100% recommend

Carly is an incredibly skilled and patient teacher with extensive knowledge on ceramics. I have followed both the 8 week course and a separate throwing course at Bare Glazed Studio and am grateful to have learned so many knew techniques. It is a weekly zen-moment in which you’re both guided to challenge yourself and left free to develop your own style. I would strongly recommend this course to anyone who enjoys ceramics.

It was my daughters 9th birthday. She wanted a party at bare glazed studio. We invited 8 of her friends. When we arrived at the studio Carly had decorated the studio in birthday banners, balloons and much more. My daughter loved it! We loved every moment! Carly was kind enough to set up a whole date for us! The decorations were adorable, she provided snacks and drinks, she even had a playlist of my favourite songs and a schedule of activities. She is an amazing teacher - both of us came away feeling super sunshiny and just so happy, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
