Anya Istomina

Anya is a polite and patient teacher with an extensive knowledge in music theory, piano and guitar. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in those subjects.

I was taking piano lessons with Anya from 2018 up to when covid hit in 2020. Unfortunately, I work from home now and don’t live close to Chesterfield so was unable continue my lessons, but I do miss them a lot. Anya is a very friendly and passionate piano teacher, and she teaches both theory and piano practice and sets mini homework to keep you progressing. My son has been coming to learn guitar (with music theory and singing incorporated) every fortnight with Anya. He is gaining confidence and even though it's every fortnight, he is doing well. He looks forward to his lesson and it's a friendly environment.

My son (Milan) had been taking piano lessons with Anya since July 2022. His confidence is growing with every lesson. This is one thing that he is passionate about and looks forward to every week. Also it's placed him in good stead for his GCSE music. It helps having a great and patient teacher like Anya.
