Having just completed the six week beginners course I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to have a go at the craft of pottery. Right from the beginning we were given the opportunity to use the potters wheel (it's harder than it looks!!!). Andy broke down the stages of using the wheel really well and gave you lots of time to build your skills, as a good teacher should, intervening when help was needed. After watching The Great Pottery Throwdown, my 10yr old daughter was keen to try out pottery. I found Andy's Instagram page and booked a 2hr taster lesson for myself and my daughter. Andy is a friendly, knowledgeable and patient teacher and we had a great time! We cannot wait to go back to the workshop to paint our best pieces. If you're interested in learning the basics of pottery, I definitely recommend a taster session with Andy or perhaps a 6 week course.
