Alison Lindsay

Originally from a small village outside Penrith, I grew up on the family farm before leaving Cumbria in my teens to attend university. Having later trained as a midwife at a large obstetric unit in Manchester, I moved southwards in 2012 to take a job working in a Homebirth Team in Surrey. Normal birth is my passion, but it was within the homebirth team that I became driven to promote choice and dignity in childbirth for all women, no matter what their background or their birth choices.
