Alderneuk Fishery

First time at Alderneuk as the rivers were washed out. Wullie is a great host with plenty of tips and whats fishing well. I was there to chill and wet a line and had three hook ups landing one very nice full finned Rainbow about 5lbs. A fantastic small water fishery.

What an absolute gem. Always wanted to give fly fishing a try. Wullie and Wilma are fantastic. So friendly, welcoming, funny and helpful. Spent 4 hours fishing and enjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend this fishery. Suitable for all ages and experience.

I was on a family short break last week near Dumfries and with the Brown Trout season over was ’forced’ to try a fishery. Brilliant place very large fish all in great condition and the hosts Willie and Wilma go the extra mile nothing seems too much trouble for them we will defo be back hoping to stay in one of the new cabins on site well worth a visit you won't be disappointed had a lovely 7lb 10oz brownie

Absolutely one of Scotlands finest fisheries Willie and Wilma fantastic hosts. Willie without doubt is one of the most knowledgeable fishermen in Scotland. His knowledge on the subject is legendary. This is a must be spot for any bucket list. The only place I know where the sheep will come up and have a chat with you. The hens wander by checking out your casting techniques and give you a rating.
