  • I was in the US Air Force, stationed at RAF Woodbridge, from 1977 to 1980. I lived at Aldeburgh House, right down the road. I was an avid golfer, and held a single digit handicap. I went here, looking to join the club. I was asked if I had a sponsor. No. I did not. It became very clear to me what the club was about. GOD FORBID any Yanks would be allowed to join.   • Course in good condition after heavy rain. Very strong layout featuring many long par fours. No par 5's! Snack lunch was very nice. Clubhouse closed at 5.30 pm so had to change in the carpark afterwards. Not ideal before a 3 hour drive home. This is a 2 ball club, so only singles and Foursomes.

  • I have to say straight away that I am a member of the club. And I feel more than lucky to say that. The golf course is set in the beautiful Suffolk Coast area and I objectively rate it as highly as any course I have played in the UK, and recently I have been privileged to have played some of the best. It is an inland links, with a variety and quality of hole as good as any. And it is a very hard test, that easily copes with the advances of golf in the 21st Century. There are plans for Martin ...

  • The same as Aldeburgh Golf Course in Googlemaps. Although a fantastic course, in land links with terrific hard fairways and fast greens. Challenging but great fun. A must visit if you're in the area.
