  • My daughter absolutely loves going to Aikido and the team is really friendly. Highly recommended.

  • Was visiting the Oxford Traditional Aikido club Tuesday and Friday nights. At the South Oxford Community Centre. The Aikido Oxford Koushinkan are just another club that use the same Dojo, so cannot give comment on them as they are another style, and I have not trained with them. The star rating I have given is for the Oxford Traditional Aikido club.

They make it easy to get started learning something that could otherwise be very intimidating. All of the instructors and upper level students really know their stuff, and even better all of them are great teachers.

  • I have been training with the Koushinkan club for three years and have developed a deep love and respect for the art that we practice. The instructors and senior grade students are friendly, supportive and patient and help all students to progress. The club has also been a doorway into a great social circle of friends.

  • Perfect place for a young boy like my son - we both loved it from the very first lesson! His patience, respect and attitude towards hard work improved immensely thanks to Aikido trainings and mentoring of his teachers. More importantly he learned to manage complex social interactions with his peers in a very adult, peaceful manner. When asked what he thinks of Aikido lessons at this centre he said: "They make me happy" and I guess they do - he would come home and sing and giggle all evening. ...
