Ahoy Centre

Brilliant powerboat course! And a very nice mission they have with youth :)

I had my cctv course in the premises for 3 days, today was last day . I was late to the course , I called the centre and a very friendly and helpful gentleman picked up the phone and passed on my message to the instructor that I would've be late ,so I could still take my exam . While there we needed some assistance twice and he was again the most helpful and kind . I don't know his name, but he's an Ic1 male , medium build ,dark hair ,with beard and I think he wear glasses. Joined the AHOY as a youth volunteer many years ago, Gained many qualifications with them in sailing (Youth stages 1-4, Dinghy/Keelboat instructor) and power boating (Level 1, Level 2, and Safety Boat Officer) which has provided me with countless good times and opportunities. The AHOY Centre is a great place to learn and gain all of the sailing and powerboating qualifications I needed. They offer great facilities for you to use while you do the courses. The Staff are all very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. I particularly enjoyed gaining my powerboat level 1 and 2 at the centre because it is a great experience to be on the River Thames because of the fantastic views. Having worked at AHOY for 18 months I can honestly say its a fantastic facility for sailing in London. They deliver a wide range of activities from rowing to Power boating, situated directly on the Thames! The staff are always helpful and enthusiastic, facilities are perfect for what the charity delivers and are getting ever better.
