  • Melanie was recommended to me when I was looking for Agility Training for my (nearly) 2 year old Cocker Spaniel, Hugo. Hugo suffers with anxiety and, as a pup, we could not complete training as he would refuse treats outside of the home. On our first visit to Melanie she spent time with him working on building his confidence. We left with lots of tips and things to work on, and a very happy dog. We have since had 3 further sessions and Hugo’s confidence has grown both during sessions and in...

  • I have just completed a recall workshop with Mel. The course was excellent and i have come away with so many useful games to ensure Sadie remains focused on me when off the lead. I would recommend anyone who wants a better connection with their doggie friend or to gain confidence (as i did) to get in touch with Mel @ Agility Ability. A great, energetic, fun, sympathetic teacher.

  • Just finished the six week recall course and can’t recommend it highly enough. Mel and Debbie are amazing teachers and the games we were taught were marvellous. I’ve seen a clear improvement in my dog’s attention span and engagement, particularly when going to new places - where I would normally be nothing more than a boring human-shaped blob he drags around at the end of the lead, he now checks in with me regularly, pulls less and has realised that I can be interesting and fun outside the ho...

  • My dog Callie and I are having the best time training with Melanie. We started in March just to have a go. I didn't think my very sensitive girl would be able to cope, or that I would get into it in my late 50s, but we are both addicted and will have a go at competing this year! Melanie is amazing at keeping it fun for you and the dog, while getting proper skills in place from the start.

  • Melanie is a fantastic trainer using reward based training with an emphasis on handlers being kind to their dogs. I started at the club in 2015 with my small cockapoo, my first agility dog. With Melanie's commitment and training skills, we reached KC grade 7 in 2018. We continue to train with Mel and I would thoroughly recommend Agility Ability to either experienced or novice handlers.
