22 Yards Wine Bar & Merchants

What a delightful time we had at 22 yards. We weren't too excited by the food menu and decided to go for a sharing plate of meats and cheeses with taramasalata to start. My wife doesn't particularly like taramasalata but loved this, as did I. Each element of the sharing platter was delicious. The bottle of wine that we chose also exceeded our expectations. Lovely bar and the staff were wonderful. We hadn't booked anywhere for lunch and it was a small family reunion (five of us) but thankfully 22 Yards had space. Drinks were good, prices fair, and the loaded hot dogs were absolutely fantastic. I would definitely go again. Thank you for such a lovely time.

Such a lovely place. Great, knowledgeable but friendly staff (don’t worry if you’re not a wine buff!). Fantastic small plates / sharers - delicious cheese, amazing tempura veg, fantastic hummus- it’s great for vegetarians and non. Am keen to try one of their more substantial meals, based on what I have tried it will be delicious! A lovely spot for drinks, food, and catching up. It has a vibe but isn’t noisy, so somewhere you can talk to one another :)

Saw this place while walking around York. Popped in around 5ish and got a table for a drink and nibbles. I really enjoyed the place, service, food and drinks. Although not the cheapest place I want to return. And the olives were so nice.

I love having a glass of wine or 2 in here. The staff are really pleasant, and the menu throughout is just enough. This is not a slur on 22, but don't sit near the door in winter. It can get chilly, especially when people don't shut it properly behind themselves. Fab for people watching if you sit by the window...
