The qualification meets the SIA’s mandatory top-up requirements and appropriately qualified learners who complete the qualification will be eligible to apply to renew their SIA Door Supervisors licence.
Topics Covered
These include identifying the difference between defensive physical skills and physical interventions,the importance of dynamic risk assessment in situations where physical internvantion skills are used,effective deterrents to terroristactivities and duty of care requirements when dealing with children and young people.Qualifications are fully endorsed by the SIA and regulated by Ofqual, Qualifications Wales, CCEA and SQA Accreditation. The course is assessed by multiple choice exams and a scenario based practical assessment.
