WIRE SCULPTURE WORKSHOP: SWALLOW

Join us for this, our second wire sculpture workshop, and learn how to sculpt one of our most recognisable and much loved birds - the swallow.

Imagine creating your very own swallow wire sculpture. Well, imagine no more!

Your experienced tutor will show you the necessary techniques of hand weaving wire to create your beautiful swallow. You will be using wire, pliers and cutters to create your sculpture, which you will be able to take home to hang on a wall.

Beginners are more than welcome. The workshop will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm and will include a pause for a ploughman-style lunch. Your lunch and all the materials to make your wire sculpture will be provided, as will a workshop apron for you to wear during your day. Please note, we recommend wearing old clothes, as wire can be quite messy.

Stakes will be available to purchase on the day, should you wish to display your swallow outside in the garden.

We are very excited to be offering this workshop, if only to see eight magical swallows loop-the-loop at the end of the day!
