As of April 2022, there were around 5 billion internet users, globally, of which 4.65 billion were social  media users. 

This means that there are around 5 billion digital footprints around the world. A digital footprint is the term that describes the body of data which exists as a result of an individual’s online interactions. We leave digital footprints everywhere we venture when using internet communications. Most, if not all, of this activity is traceable and can be linked back to a single source, your identity.
