Description

An epileptic overcomes seizures... "A Miracle on Demand"
(Parts Therapy by Charles Tebbetts)

This is a demonstration carried out by the late Charles Tebbetts when he was at his best facilitating this therapy for a former epileptic, using both regression and parts therapy - with a resulting success that lasted for nine years before another follow-up was needed.

This profound therapy was detailed in Chapter 12 of The Art of Hypnotherapy...length, under 1hr.

Charles Tebbetts was a master teacher and contributor to the art/science of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. A celebrated as a pivotal figure in the field of hypnotherapy, particularly renowned for his development of parts therapy. Born before the end of World War I, Tebbetts began his career in hypnosis early, initially inspired by observing a stage hypnotist. Over the decades, he maintained a deep involvement in hypnosis alongside pursuits in advertising and songwriting. Despite lacking a formal college education, he extensively studied the works of hypnosis pioneers like Dave Ellman and Milton Erickson, and trained under Gil Boyne.

Tebbetts became a prominent instructor in hypnotherapy, eventually founding his own school north of Seattle. He is credited with refining and popularizing parts therapy, a technique aimed at addressing internal conflicts within clients. Despite his own health challenges, including a debilitating stroke that he overcame using self-hypnosis, Tebbetts continued to passionately teach hypnotherapy until his sudden passing in 1992.

He emphasized the importance of thorough training in hypnotherapy, advocating against short programs. Tebbetts believed in adapting techniques to suit individual clients and empowering them through the process, asserting that all hypnosis is fundamentally self-hypnosis.

His legacy lives on through his teachings and the books written by his students to preserve his methods. Charles Tebbetts is remembered not only as a pioneer of parts therapy but also as a dedicated mentor who profoundly influenced the practice of client-centered hypnotherapy in the 20th century.
