After School Textile Art and Sewing Club

Description

In these child led sessions Sonia will support, encourage and teach skills in both hand and machine sewing and various textile based crafts including crochet.  

Spend 2 hours a week in the fabulous Stitching Kitchen Sewing Studio an inspiring creative space.  Some may learn learn to use a sewing machine correctly and safely and then move on to create some items for the home and also undertake some dressmaking.

Others may choose to develop their creative side with a mix of surface design and stitch.  Activities and projects will include embroidery, printing, weaving and crochet while exploring colour and texture.

Ages 7 and up.  Refreshments (water, squash and biscuits) available.
