There are no formal qualifications required to undertake this course. Although, we would recommend that you have completed a Level 2 course before starting a Level 3. To secure your place please return the completed registration form available by contacting us. After this, we will arrange an initial advice and guidance session before completing an initial assessment. Please note you will need to be involved in assessing learners.

Most awarding organisations require you to hold a qualification in assessing if you want to work with adults and young people. A Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is for anyone wanting to teach adults and young people in a further education setting, providing you with the skills and knowledge to be able to assess vocational qualifications.

You will learn about the principles and practices underlying the assessment of learners as well as the practical skills required to carry out assessment.

This is an internally assessed qualification and you will be required to carry out presentations. Additionally, you will write essays, assess learner work and take part in standardisation activites.
