Join me Wednesday evening from 7:45 pm to 8:45 pm at the welcoming Art & Spirituality Centre here in Gorgie for a wonderful mixture of Gentle Hatha and Yin Yoga mix class where my aim is to help you find balance within your mind and body and leave you feeling relaxed and restored.

Yin yoga is my absolute favorite type of yoga because for me it completely relaxes and grounds me, relieves anxiety/stress, and increases circulation. I also like to hang out low on my mat and with Yin, I always seem to have a good night's sleep the day I practice but don't just take my word for it as yin is known to also...

Yin poses are typically held for 2 to 3 minutes (can be much longer but not within this class). laying quietly holding an asana/pose can also prove a little challenging for some of us as it becomes an internal process as we learn to sit with different emotions and feelings that arise within the mind and body.
Yin Poses target the connective tissue of the body; joints, bones, ligaments, and fascia. Poses can mainly work on the lower parts of the body; hips, pelvis, lower spine, and inner thighs.
My aim is to offer a very welcoming, safe, and restorative environment. Our class will start promptly at 7:45 pm and finish at 8:45 pm. I ask that you please attend 5 minutes before the start of our class but no earlier than 7:40.
We have equipment available such as yoga mats and blocks available to use.
