Who is First Aid for Mental Health Suitable for?

This mental health training is ideal for anyone who works with others. If you’re in management, lead a team or would like to be a workplace first-aider – building your understanding of mental health conditions will enable you to spot problems and signpost to professional help. 

What Will I Learn?

The qualification has been designed to enable you to recognise various mental health illnesses and be able to implement strategies such as a first aid action plan for mental health, along with developing the skills to better manage stress and have supportive conversations.
The conditions looked at include:

  • Do I need a previous qualification before taking this course?

     No previous qualifications are necessary, though some mental health knowledge may be useful. You will be reassured throughout the training and support is there for any knowledge gaps.
