  • We went to Rein and Shine for a child’s first lead rein lesson. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The instructor was engaging and recognised the differing ability levels within the group. Overall a great experience.

  • I have just completed an "Improve your Jumping" course, which ran over 4 consecutive afternoons. I had done some jumping as a child, but now 30 years later I was very rusty and a lot less confident - even though I ride on the flat regularly. The 4 days was a mix of theory (boots, setting up poles etc), a daily session on the Simulator and then a practical jumping session. This mix worked really well, especially going straight from simulator to horse. We started over poles on the ground, progr...

  • I am fortunate to share a very special horse at Rein and Shine, that belongs to the owner, and is a very good jumper. One of my goals is to build the skills and confidence to be able to jump her successfully in a competition, so that we both enjoy the experience. This week I took a course with the owner of Rein and Shine, Johanna McDonald, to help develop my riding and enable me to ride a show jumping course with accuracy, speed and confidence. I was amazed at the progress we made in four da...

  • Today I had a lesson on the Simulator. This was such a good experience. Previously I was such a cynic. My Instructor nicely persuaded me to have a go. I cannot recommend this enough. 10/10 great fun, informative about you as a rider and safe. Yes I have booked another lesson on it.

  • For my birthday I got surprised with a 2-hour experience. Staff were all very friendly and I learned a lot of new things. The horses are all kept after well and properly. Could not fault the place. People say all the “stable girls” run the stables but no all the other people are replying to emails making there business the top it can be. Instructors are not forcing but are encouraging people to do things that they might never of thought they could do. Keep up the good work Rein And Shine.
