Cast pewter jewellery workshop with Mandy Nash
Learn an ancient technique, used by the Romans. It is very low tech and wonderful items of jewellery with a professional finish can be produced in a few hours. Students make moulds in plaster or cuttlefish to their own designs, then lead free pewter is poured into the moulds using hand gravity casting. The moulds can be reused to make pendants, earrings, brooches, keyrings and fridge magnets.
Due to Health and Safety precautions we are limiting class sizes to 8 people, for all of our sessions, for the time being.
PPE (face shields, gloves and aprons) and hand sanitiser will be available for all of our workshops.
Tea and coffee facilities will be available but you are also welcome to bring your own refreshments or visit one of our local cafes or bakeries during your break.
