Description

Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) can kill without immediate first aid. The UK is one of the top countries in the world for incidence of allergies.

Allergies affect approximately one in three of the UK population and each year numbers grow by 5% with as many as half of those affected being children.

It is life threatening and requires immediate first aid (an auto-injector) and emergency medical assistance.

The likelihood is that someone in your school or workplace could have a severe allergy, and this must form part of your first aid needs assessment.
