All-inclusive crochet retreat

This all-inclusive crochet escape will immerse you in a world that you’ll love!  From the moment that you walk through the doors, you can relax and enjoy laughter, crochet, fabulous food, beautiful scenery, and the company of wonderful like-minded people.  Not to mention more crochet!  All in an amazing setting in the heart of Cheshire. 

An unmissable opportunity to spend the whole weekend crocheting to your heart’s desire!  Whether you’re traveling alone or with a friend, you’ll be amongst people who share your love of crochet.  Simply enjoy a fabulous weekend doing what you love! 

Take inspiration from others who are just as passionate about crochet and yarns as you are.  Our crochet tutor will be on hand to assist if you’re still learning the yarns. 

A yarn-crafter’s heaven 

Your crochet retreat begins from 2pm on Friday.  Don’t worry if that’s a little early for you, just let us know and we will be waiting with a glass of fizz or a cuppa when you arrive.  You’ll also receive your Oh So Pretty And Clever gift bag, filled with wonderful items set for the weekend workshops.  It’s enough to bring a tear of joy! 

After everyone has had a chance to settle in and get acquainted, we will adjourn to our private crafting room.  Here you can unload all of your crafting supplies, ready for a weekend of crochet heaven!  Feel free to bring along any of your beloved creations, such as a cushion or a blanket, to make the space your own.   

Dinner is served in the newly refurbished Fairway’s Restaurant between 7 pm and 9pm.  You’ll enjoy a mouth-watering 3-course meal amidst the excitement of what’s to come over the coming days. 

Friday’s events are relaxed and easy-going.  You can dip in and out of the activities available and take some time for yourself, to really unwind and shake off the week. 

Saturday morning begins with an amazing selection of breakfast items that will get you ready for the first session of the day.  Lunch is served in our private crafting room, with time to break out and stretch those hands and legs.  Help yourself to unlimited teas, coffee, and the most amazing hot chocolate there is to offer, throughout your stay.  Emma will be on hand during crochet sessions to assist if you’re still learning the yarns, or with any other crochet topics. 

Continuing with a full day of crochet and creation until 6pm, after which, your 3-course dinner will be served.  Saturday evening is reserved for catching up with any projects that you may have brought along, or diving in to that yarn stash with a renewed inspiration to try new things!  If you have a specific idea for a workshop, we’d love to hear from you. 

Finish the day laughing and chatting with new and old friends in the contemporary Bar Vista, or take some time out and retire to the comfort of your own spacious room. 

Breakfast on Sunday morning will be served between 7 am and 9 am once more and, after check out, our final day of crochet will continue until 3pm.  A farewell lunch will again be served in our crafting room, so that you can soak up the remaining hours of your crochet retreat, doing what you love.

Venue 

Set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, Wychwood Park is a stylish and modern hotel.  The hotel has undergone a £3 million refurbishment project, with all of the bedrooms completely renovated throughout. 

Easy access to Junction 16 of the M6, and Crewe train station with its direct rail links to Manchester, Birmingham and London. 

What do I need to bring? 

You’ll receive a gift bag upon arrival, which will have all of the materials that you need to join any of the workshops over the weekend.  However, I know that any crochet lover like me never leaves home without their favourite hooks and a yarn stash so, feel free to bring what you like to have the best crochet weekend.  You’ll be able to leave your items in our lockable private room for the duration of the crochet retreat.  Other than that, just your usual weekend bag of personal things. 

Golf partner? 

Do you love crochet and your partner loves golf?  Our crochet retreat package caters for your golf loving partner too; if you want to bring them along that is!  They too will enjoy the same accommodation and all-inclusive meals package as you, and take in 18 holes of golf whilst you crochet. 

Widely regarded as one of the premier inland courses in the north of England, Wychwood Park is a European PGA TOUR-standard course. Its 7,213 yards of Championship tees provide the ultimate challenge for golfers, while its location in the rolling countryside of Cheshire offers spectacular views. 

The 18-hole par-72 golf course is comprised of US PGA-specification greens, magnificent fairways, testing water hazards, and protected wildlife areas. From the fully-stocked Pro Shop offering a range of clubs, shoes, bags, and a fleet of 20 golf buggies to the on-site golf clinic and free custom-fittings, you know you are in for a seriously good golfing experience.
