How Can I Home Educate My Autistic Child?

School is so difficult for your child. They don't want to go and when you get them there they won't engage. Or maybe they do go but the fall out at the end of the school day is horrendous. Their anxiety is so high they are constantly on edge, they aren't sleeping well, they aren't eating well and they are having frequent meltdowns.

School has suggested an EHCP (or maybe your child already has one) but no one is listening to you and the focus seems to be largely about getting your child back to school and into the classroom. You are beginning to realise that school might actually be the problem but can home education be the answer? 

Your child seems slightly more relaxed at home on those days when they don't make it to school but you remember home schooling during lockdown and it didn't go well.
