Description

Background

All independent schools must meet all the paragraphs of the Independent School Standards in order to maintain their registration and keep their doors open. The DfE is very strict about this requirement as can be seen by the way they regulate and enforce this legislation. Under the 2019 Education Inspection Framework, failing to meet the standards almost guarantees an “inadequate” inspection judgment.

The latest Ofsted statistics show that:

23% of Independent Schools that had a standard between September 2022 and August 2023 failed to meet the standards.

52% of those that had a progress monitoring inspection during the same period failed to demonstrate that they had addressed previously un-met standards.

Through our work with independent schools, we know why schools fail to meet the requirements of the standards. We have developed a proven strategy to ensure consistent compliance. We’re sharing this strategy through this workshop for Headteachers and SLTs.
