Basic Robotic Technical Skills (BRiTS) course is a one day practical skills course dedicated to robotic surgery for cardiothoracic trainees. The ONLY robotic course for Junior Surgeons in Europe!Registration will open at 5pm on Monday 11th September
Course fee: £150 (non-refundable) [+ online payment processing fee]
Places Available: 15
Target audience: ST1-ST3 cardiothoracic trainees, CT1-2 Core Surgical Trainees
(Foundation Year 2 Trainees may apply, but will be second priority).
Please be aware that tickets are initially application only.
- On confirmation of placement on the course we will send you further instructions on how to pay the £150 non-refundable ticket cost.
- This will include a deadline for payment, which will be on the invoice attached to the payment information email ('Due Date'). All payments must be received by the stated deadline.
Number of participants is limited to 15. Preference will be given to those in cardiothoracic training posts.

Only the 'Apply' option is available for the ticket. Does this get me a place on the course?
All requests are initially on an 'Application' basis. This is because the appropriate grades for the courses change for each course. By having application only tickets, we can ensure that only those of the correct grade are allowed into the course. We also set a preference for those either in or wanting to apply for Cardiothoracic Surgery training. Aside from these pre-requisites , all requests are then handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can I get a refund if I cannot attend a course?
Refunds will only be provided if notice of cancellation is received within 1 week of the course date. This will result in a 100% refund. Refunds will not be provided after this period.
Do I need to bring lunch to courses?
Most courses will have lunch provided. Dietary preferences have been asked when applying for the course. For any course in which lunch is not provided, you will be informed at the time of booking. If any further food preferences/requirements need to be told, then please let us know.
