FORKLIFT TRAINING

PLEASE NOTE: We are not currently offering forklift training due to demand for lorry drivers

We deliver forklift training to both individuals and companies.

Courses are delivered onsite at our training centre or arrangements can be made to deliver at a company’s premises.

Novice Course (No previous training)

This course is designed for those who have no previous experience of operating counterbalance or reach lift trucks.

Training is delivered over 3 days and involves both theory and practical elements.

Training Course Aim:

To provide training for those who will be required to use industrial counterbalance or reach lift trucks as part of their normal work duties.

This course is designed to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974; the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER); the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER), as applicable and other relevant regulations and codes of practice.

Training Course Objective:

On successful completion of the novice operator training course, you will be able to:

• carry out the routine pre-use inspection of the truck
• operate the truck safely and correctly
• show understanding, by clearly stating the causes of instability of trucks and loads

Refresher Course (Licence Expired)

This course is designed for those who have previously received formal training and are appropriately certificated to operate either a counterbalance or reach truck. Documentary evidence of eligibility must be provided to support this claim.

Counterbalance or Reach Truck – 1 day refresher course for operators already with a licence which has either expired or is due to expire (recommended every 3 years).
