When children are able to choose how they spend their time, they inevitably choose to play because it is the basis for human learning.

It's rare to see children truly playing beyond the age of 5 and can be unnerving for you to watch your child do nothing but play all day as you embrace unschooling.

We are schooled into thinking that their is a difference between play and learning, that play is frivolous and something to be done in your spare time. But learning is happening all the time and play is your child's natural modus operandi.
