Do you want to learn to code? Are you already on your way, but need a boost? Is the motivation a challenge and you want some external accountability? Do you want deeper technical discussions than you can find elsewhere? Or just want a frank chat about whether you have what it takes to succeed?

My name is Kay Lack. I have taught hundreds of people the craft of software engineering over the past six years. Many of them are senior engineers now, some of them in companies you would have heard of. I have taught in nine programming languages and used even more as an engineer myself, so you can rest assured we can learn whatever your path suits.

I also love to teach. It is the subject about which I am most passionate.

How I work:

Firstly, a 90 minute introductory 1:1 session to discuss you and what you want to achieve. If that's all you need, that's where we'll leave it.

After this, blocks of four 90 minute 1:1 sessions focused on a particular goal that we will agree in the introductory session.

What you can expect from me:

A coach who is engaged and interested in you achieving your goals, who will help you to hold your motivation even if you feel discouraged.

A dedicated technical educator with the experience to assess what you have learned and where your focus needs to be applied next to get results.

A respectful and accepting colleague in this journey which is ultimately your own. I will give advice, but if you choose your own path I will not be upset.

In return, I will expect you to pursue your dreams and engage with what we decide to do together. I look forward to working with you!
