What is the Flags for Therapists Course?

Click Here for a Short Introductory Video

This course, designed by Julian Baker is specifically to help complementary therapists to identify certain situations where more information or further action is needed.

It is presented in ten short video sections and is accompanied by a PDF book and a downloadable slide presentation. A short quiz at the end of the class will allow you to qualify and receive a certificate to display in your clinic room

What do flags mean to us as therapists?

Flags relate to information that we discover about our clients, that set off warning bells in our heads. Doctors, nurses and all registered healthcare professionals are taught about “FLAGS” when dealing with patient and is a formal part of their training.

It's also a topic that all health professionals in whatever form need to know about. Many of you will have already come across the term “flags”, and may already be gifted detectives, also understanding the need to incorporate special questions into your assessments when certain questions don't meet with a complete answer!

Why do we need to understand flags?

Clients present with what they might consider a primary issue to be dealt with. A pain, injury, illness or collection of symptoms which may seem obvious in terms of how they view or understand what is going on. Any half decent therapist is going to take notes at the beginning of the session to establish what's going on and how the client has ended up in the treatment space.

From here for the most part, we will be able to proceed with our usual treatment without much further ado. But there are occasionally situations whereby what is being presented isn't straightforward and in order for us to proceed safely, we need to get more information.

If we already know how to pick up on the clues the client presents, then this won't be a problem. But there are dozens of things that unless we are aware of them we might miss, meaning that our client is not getting referred, perhaps to urgent care, when they might need to be.

It has been estimated that a therapist with a comprehensive understanding of the flags system could save six to ten lives over the course of a career.

Designed for manual and movement therapists without the jargon

The Flags for Therapists class, strips away a lot of the jargon that is very often used by presenters who are used to working in a primary health care setting such as a GP surgery or hospital. This class contains ALL the information you need to know and are likely to come across, together with the actions you need to take when you encounter the issues discussed.

It is simply laid out, easy to follow and is accompanied by all the slides used as well as a 45 page PDF booklet. Once you purchase the class, it is yours to keep and refer back to for ever. We get infuriated by online classes that charge top dollar and then only give you access for a few weeks, when you might need to be able to refer to it at any time in the future.

Red flags? What about all the others?

Some therapists may have done a 'Red Flag' class, with content often aimed at primary health care professionals. There are however a LOT more other, different coloured flags that we need to be aware of and that will make an enormous difference to our efficiency as therapists.

Knowing other coloured flags will help us when we perhaps are not getting the results we had expected with our clients, or when emotional or stress issues get in the way of treatment. Understanding the range of flags in the system, gives us an exceptional wider understanding of client behaviour and informs our understanding of outcomes.

Exclusive content that could save YOUR life!

Apart from the information that will help you get better results with your clients, potentially direct them to life saving treatment and avoid missing important signs your clients are giving you, this class contains exclusive content, created especially for therapists, that will reveal the signs that will tell you when you should stop a treatment.

After over thirty years of clinical experience, have pinpointed the key aspects that will ensure your safety in the clinic and help you to stay away from unwelcome or difficult situations BEFORE they happen.
