Project Manager's Journey: From 'Doing' to 'Leading'

Many of us are 'accidental' project managers. Project management may not be the profession we dreamed of as we were growing up. Most likely we stumbled into it. You may have been asked to manage projects in your organization, because you have shown superior technical skill. Ironically the skill that got you where you are today as a project manager is not what will take you where you need to go in this position. Now you are not 'doing' project work per se any more but 'leading' it. This presentation walks you through the leadership journey you go through as a project manager. It focuses on the skills you must master for this journey. It illuminates the transformation you must make from a 'doer' to a 'leader.'

Each professional development activity yields one PDU for one hour spent engaged in the activity. Some limitations apply and can be found in the Ways to Earn PDUs section that discusses PDU activities and associated policies.

Fractions of PDUs may also be reported. The smallest increment of a PDU that can be reported is 0.25. This means that if you spent 15 minutes participating in a qualifying PDU activity, you may report 0.25 PDU. If you spend 30 minutes in a qualifying PDU activity, you may report 0.50 PDU.
