About Sue

Sue Palmer is an artist, producer and project manager based in Frome, Somerset. Sue has worked for many years in community building, participatory programmes, in and with public space and people. Sue leads Future Shed Frome focusing on community-led action on climate and health, which is part of Edventure Frome and the Green & Healthy Frome partnership programme. Sue is particularly interested in how we meet, take action and work together in these important times. As an artist and producer, Sue creates live and visual work.

As part of Future Shed, she facilitates the formation of networks of action where new ideas, partnerships, and projects for a greener and healthier future can be realized. One of the networks that she initiated is focused on sustainable clothing and textiles, and it's called "Everyone Needs Pockets."

What I Can Help With: 

I can support individuals, organizations, and informal groups in setting up local networks of action with a focus on sustainable textiles and clothing, and other climate and health-related issues. I can assist with:

  • Bringing people together, community building, and participation.
  • Facilitating and organizing public meetings.
  • Supporting and empowering individuals to take action and realize ideas.
  • Addressing challenges and conflicts within groups.
