Claire O’Sullivan, creative entrepreneur and Kitty Wilson Brown, textile artist and weaver are the co-founders of Contemporary Hempery. We bring myriad different skills and life experience to the project and are both passionate about the revival of hemp growing in the uk and producing beautiful entirely UK produced fabrics.
How We Can Help You :
For individuals wanting to begin on a hemp or flax journey we can help with licensing (for hemp), sourcing certified seed, cultivation of the plant, harvesting and processing, both by hand and by mechanical means.
We can also assist community projects with how to grow and how to involve community members in the cultivation, harvest and processing of the crop.
Our mentoring offer:
Introduction call (30 minutes)
- An opportunity to meet and ask for advise or feedback
- Come with specific questions prepared to get the most of your time.
Mentoring call (60 minutes)
- A 1-hour zoom with Kitty and Claire covering all the topics above, and any questions or challenges you are facing that we can help with.
- Follow up emails and calls, we like to stay in touch and know how your project is progressing.
