Raising Bilingual Children from Birth (in Person in Edinburgh)

Description

This workshop is aimed at expecting parents as well as families with young children who they wish to raise bilingual. Together we will look at the scientific side of things and what recent research has found as well as experience and different approaches so you feel equipped to start/continue your journey.

We will look at common challenges, how to overcome them and learn how to support children at different stages. We introduce different strategies and tools that help us in motivating children to use their minor language
confidently.

We will do some group work and have time for questions and an exchange.

This will be an opportunity to meet other families in a similar situation to you.

Please note that whilst this workshop will be held in English, any languages are welcome, whether you want to pass on Spanish, French, Mandarin, Greek, Arabic, German, the tools are the same!

The Community Center is accessible for visitors with mobility difficulties. There are changing rooms if you come with a small baby.
