CIMA's Accounting qualifications

• Certificate in Business Accounting
• New to accountancy? Want to know more about finance? Then this is the starting point for you.
  
  At this level you’ll learn the fundamentals of business economics, financial accounting, management accounting, and ethical considerations of commercial activity.

After completing this qualification, you could work in roles such as accounts clerk or within administration, and earn between £25,000 – £28,000 a year. You can also continue with your Eagle subscription and move onto studying CIMA’s CGMA® Professional Qualification, at no additional cost.

• CGMA® Operational Level
This level will teach you about managing finance, costs and analysis used in production, and financial reporting. It will also prepare you for roles such as a financial analyst or management accountant, and you could earn up to £33,000 a year.


Once completed, you can continue with your Eagle subscription and move onto CIMA’s CGMA® Management level at no additional cost.

• CGMA® Management Level
  Ready for advanced management accounting and financial reporting? CIMA’s CGMA® Management level is the second level of the CGMA® Professional Qualification. At this level you’ll learn about performance management, advanced management accounting, and advanced financial reporting.
  
  After completing this level you could work as a Fund Accountant or Financial Accountant, earning around £40,000 a year. You can also continue with your Eagle subscription to progress onto the CGMA® Strategic level at no extra cost, and earn your CGMA® designation to become a Chartered Management Accountant.

• CGMA® Strategic Level
• This is the final stage of CIMA’s CGMA® Professional Qualification, so are you ready to develop your leadership and strategic management abilities? At this level you’ll learn about risk management and financial strategy, and bring together everything you’ve learnt in the previous levels.
  
  After completing this level, and with relevant work experience, you’ll be fully qualified, and can become a Chartered Management Accountant. You could be a Financial Controller, or Financial Manager, and earn over £60,000 a year – or more with experience.
