Large Scale Flower Drawing

Learning to decipher tone and colour value is key when drawing flowers, where do the lights and darks fall? any transparency on the petals? any changes in texture?

Sometimes its hard to see with colour involved! So in this video I have chosen to use monochrome, to simplify the shapes and really work out the tonal values first before we move on to colour. Using a larger scale makes it easier to draw, and charcoal encourages to you to be bold!
