Buildings and Churchyards

There are more than 400 places of worship in the Diocese of St Albans. Some churches are over 1000 years old, making them some of the most significant buildings in England, while others were built for new worshipping communities within the past century. Regardless of age, church buildings are centres of mission, ministry and worship which need care – and sometimes development – to meet the needs of the community.
